Hi Guild Ballers,
So, Guild Ball is dead right? Let's all put our toys away and go play Age of Marvel: Judgement Protocol instead?
But what if rumours of Guild Ball's death had been greatly exaggerated? We've been saying for years that as a community we could do a great job of running Guild Ball. Now is our chance to prove that.
We, a small group of enthusiastic players, have formed a Guild Ball supporters' trust. A community led project committed to keeping the game alive, and growing it.
Some of us were pundits. Some of us have podcasts. Some of us have websites. Some of us were playtesters. All of us love Guild Ball.
This project is only one week old, but we've been busy. We've spoken to other community-led game groups such as Blood Bowl, Warmaster, and Epic 40k to get an idea about what works and what doesn't.
We've held a transcontinental meeting to kick things off, made some early decisions, and identified our priorities and initial timelines.
We've got a clear idea about what needs to be done to take the game forward. Of course, things might move faster, and they might move slower. The key thing is...
We need your help.
We're only eight people, and we all have day jobs. We need people to join a number of committees we're setting up to ensure the game's future. If this is going to work, we need to get the right people involved in the right places.
We're looking for volunteers to join the following committees. If you're interested, please fill out this form.
A lot of you have already messaged us to say you're interested. We have your information already, but we'd love it if you could tell us more about your background which areas you want to be involved in.
We're hoping to update the community via Longshanks, GuBS, Guild Ball Heroes, and the Guildball Zone on Discord on our progress as regularly as possible.
If you have any questions, thoughts, suggestions etc please let us know. In the meantime, may all your goals be screamers.
